New Resource Delivered for Working with Men and Boys

Professor Michael Flood hosted an event at QUT to present and discuss a new resource, the Working with Men and Boys for Social Justice Assessment Tool. The Tool gives leaders, designers and facilitators of programs or initiatives for men and boys the opportunity to review, reflect on and strengthen principles of gender and social justice. It was developed by Professor Amanda Keddie, Professor Flood, Shelley Hewson-Munro, Maria Delaney, and Associate Professor Anna Halahoff.

The QUT event included presentations by community practitioners in Queensland, reflecting on the Tool’s value and significance for their work, including Robert Ah-Hoon (Men’s Wellbeing Inc and the Common Ground Program), Shaan Ross-Smith and Dean Cooper (MATE program, Griffith University), and Dr Brodie Evans (YFS). About 40 people took part in the event, held at QUT on July 14.
