Explore

What is Explore?

CRIS cartoon characters linking arms against network background in circle

Explore is a youth research program headed jointly by CRIS and CMY. Explore provides an opportunity for young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds to have direct input into the research that impacts their lives.

Explore researchers are involved at every stage of the research process, from design to dissemination. They are involved across all CRIS research areas.

We strongly believe that building resilient societies should be by and for young people, so listening to their voices is critical in meaningful research.

We develop Explore researchers’ skills through a tailored training program and ongoing professional advancement, investing in the next generation of resilience research talent.

Research with, by, and for young people

We are a team of young people from wide-ranging cultural, academic, and community backgrounds driven to push the standards of youth engagement in research.

Our aim is to build bridges between young people and researchers so that research can achieve meaningful change in bettering the lives of young people.

We are motivated by a passion to address the biggest challenges that our generation faces: racism, discrimination, mental health and employment, among others.
